GTX580: Green artifacts/unstable applicatsions.

Hello there, I've been using a GTX580 from ASUS (ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5) the last three years.
Suddenly, after working flawlessly for all this time I got some green artifacts while playing DayzRP and the drivers crashed and a restart was necessary in most cases. Sometimes it would restart the drivers and it would be fine, minus having to restart the game. This started 2-3 days ago.

I googled, found a few threads regarding the issue, mainly regarding GTX580 cards. So it does seem this is a problem that is somewhat common with the 580 series of cards, and has been since 2012. I'm wondering if this was something that ever reached you guys, and got investigated? I have only been able to find speculations from users so far on the matter, and no official statement from Nvidia.

I did underclock my card after these issues arose, which seems to have helped with the artifacts, however, the drivers still crash and restart. Meaning games have to be restarted.

The card is powered through a 500w Corsair PSU. Coupled with a ASUS Maximus III Gene motherboard and an i5 750 CPU.
Sitting in a Corsair Obsidian 800D where temperatures are no problem. With fan on auto it never reaches over 81 degrees celcius, and by forcing the fan on higher speeds (auto (Yes, mATX motherboard in a giant of a case.)
I'll try to raise the voltage slightly depending on what answer I get here first, might as well ask before fiddling with voltage.

Have a good one and nice to see you guys here! :)
